Certified Roadside Markets

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Certified Roadside Market Program was established in 1972, the first official roadside market program in the state. Because they must meet certain standards, we are confident that the roadside markets in the program are reputable and offer a good supply of South Carolina farm products. South Carolina farmers are constantly looking for new ways to market their products and make their farms more profitable. At the same time, they want others to take an interest in the origin of their food and in those who spend their lifetime producing it.
